Marketing

For email marketing communications:

Newsletter signup is not currently available. We intend to use Mailchimp for newsletter subscriptions once it is set up. We will update the relevant privacy information and signup notice before enabling subscriptions.

When signup is available, we will send newsletters and promotional emails only when you choose to subscribe and give consent. You can unsubscribe through the link in our marketing emails or contact us directly. Enquiries and warranty registrations do not subscribe you to marketing. Service messages about an enquiry or warranty are separate from marketing.

Who We Share Data With

We may share your Data with:

Information is available to authorised staff who need it for their work, including our After Care team. Service providers may handle information on our behalf for hosting and maintenance, email delivery, storage and IT support under appropriate arrangements.

Where necessary, we may share information with professional advisers, a retailer involved in resolving your warranty enquiry, a delivery provider arranging a replacement, or authorities where required by law. We may disclose information to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Mailchimp is our intended future newsletter provider; signup is not yet enabled.

  • We do not sell or rent your personal data.

International Data Transfers

If a service provider processes personal information outside the UK, an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism is required. This may include UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about transfers relevant to your data and the safeguards used. Before activating Mailchimp, we will confirm its processing arrangements and applicable transfer safeguards.

Keeping Data Secure

  • secure servers;
  • restricted access to personal data;
  • procedures to deal with suspected data breaches.

If you suspect misuse or unauthorised access to your Data, please contact us at info@altico.co.uk.

Data Retention

Enquiries: we retain records for 12 months after the enquiry is resolved.

Warranty records: we retain records for 12 months after the warranty expires or a related claim closes, whichever is later.

We may retain relevant information longer where needed to deal with an unresolved dispute, comply with legal requirements or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Once information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised.

Newsletter subscriptions, when available: subscription information is retained while you remain subscribed. After you unsubscribe, marketing stops and only the limited information needed to respect your preference, demonstrate consent history or meet legal requirements is retained.
